At least three people, including a child, have been killed in a collision between a tractor and two motorcycles on Rajshahi-Chapainwabganj highway at Paba upazila in Rajshahi district on Sunday morning leaving another injured.
The deceased are Md Abdul Mannan, 48, of village Chhoto Belaldah under Manda upazila in Naogaon, Bithi, 33, of village Chandipur under Niamatpur and Mariam Jannat, 4, of the same village in Naogaon district.
The injured one, Md Aftab Hossain, 35, of village Chandipur under Niamatpur is now undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.
“The collision took place between a tractor carrying soil and two motorcycles on the highway near Nouhata Aman Cold Storage at about 10:30am, leaving motorcyclist Mannan and Mariam dead on the spot,” Paba Police Station officer-in-charge Farid Hossain told media.
On information, the fire service and civil defence rescuers rushed injured Bithi and Aftab to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where Bithi succumbed to her injuries, he added.
