Bangladesh has reported two Covid-19 deaths in 24 hours taking the death toll to 29,162, says the latest government data released on Sunday.
Meanwhile, the country recorded 1, 902 cases of COVID-19 in a day, taking the overall tally of infections to 1,978,689.
As many as 12,246 samples were tested across the country, for a positivity rate of 15.53 percent.
Among the eight divisions, Dhaka logged the highest number of cases, with 1,605 infections.
Another 307 people recovered from the illness nationwide, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,908,297.
The latest figures put the recovery rate at 96.44 percent and the mortality rate at 1.47 percent.
