The supreme court has ordered three mobile companies Grameenphone, Banglalink and Robi to pay Tk 2,500 crore as part of their debts.
The mobile companies will have to pay this amount to the government, National Board of Revenue (NBR) and Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC).
Minister of Posts and Telecommunications Abdul Latif Siddiqui gave this information in response to a question of Jatiya Party's AKM Maidul Islam in Parliament on Tuesday.
A five-member appellate division bench led by Chief Justice Hasan Foez Siddique passed the order on Tuesday (January 10).
