A circular issued by Bangladesh Bank (BB) on Thursday (August 5) states that all banks will remain closed on Sunday (August 8).
Thus, banks’ transaction time on Monday and Tuesday has been extended by half an hour from 10:00 am to 3 pm instead of existing time from 10:00 am to 2:30 pm.
As per the circular, banks can remain open up to 4:30 pm to conduct their official activities.
The circular has been issued in accordance with the government's latest decision to extend the lockdown till August 10.
All activities of banks will be done maintaining strict covid protocols.
