Due to a decline in the price of pure gold on the local market, jewelers have reduced the price of gold for the domestic market by Tk 1,749 per bhori.
Each bhori, or 11.664 grams of 22-carat gold jewelry, would now cost Tk 99,027 instead of Tk 100,776 from Friday.
According to a press release from the Bangladesh Jeweller`s Association (Bajus), the decision to align pricing with the global market was made om Thursday.
Each bhori of gold in Bangladesh reached Tk 100,000 for the first time on July 20.
