Hall authorities have have nabbed a Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader with arms from the Shurjo Sen Hall. He was later handed over to the police through the proctorial team.
The detainee Al Amin Khan Rezwan is a student of the University's 2014-15 session. However, according to sources he has been stripped off his studentship on the basis of various complaints.
The matter has been confirmed to the media by Shurjo Sen Hall Provost Prof. Dr. Md. Mokbul Hossain Bhuiyan.
He said, the Hall administration is always concerned regarding safety of students. On the basis of a tip-off, we raided Rezwan's room and recovered a pistol, hockey stick and irdon-rod. He was detained and handed over to the police there after.
As per the university legislation, he has handed over to the proctorial team. They have sent him to the police station. The university has also sent a written complaint to the police in this regard.
Speaking in this regard, Dhaka University Proctor, Prof. Dr. Golam Rabbani said we have handed him over to law enforcers. Here after, law will take its course.
