DU holds procession marking birth centenary

Dhaka University (DU) celebrates its founding centenary amidst enthusiasm and festive.

As a part of the 12 day-long celebrations, a victory procession was brought out from Aparajeya Bangla to the Central Shaheed Minar led by vice-chancellor Md Akhtaruzzaman at 11:00 am Sunday (December 12).

Wearing the centennial t-shirt, Teachers and employees and students from residential halls and academic buildings took part in the procession.

Although DU was set to celebrate its centenary programme on 1st July of this year; the curbing measures to contain the covid-19 pandemic barred public gatherings. Later, the authorities rescheduled the programme.
