The government has raised the retail and wholesale prices of electricity by 5%.
The ministry issued a notice today, where they mentioned the hiked prices will come into effect from February 1.
The price of electricity will be raised for the second time in less than a month.
The price has been increased from Tk3.94 to Tk4.14 per unit at the customer level, according to Ministry of Power Energy and Mineral Resources.
