A ninth-grade school student fell from the rooftop of his house while trying to tie the Brazilian flag to a pole, on Monday.
The deceased was identified Mohammad Musa a ninth-grader at Cox's Bazar Technical School and College. The accident occurred in Cox's Bazar town's Tarabaniarchhara, Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rafiqul Islam said.
"Musa fell from the rooftop in the afternoon while trying to hang the flag and fell unconscious. He was declared dead after being taken District Sadar Hospital. The body was kept at the hospital for autopsy," he added.
