Zimbabwe upset the mighty Aussies for the first time in Australia, causing scenes of euphoria despite a shaky chase as they reached the mark in the 39th over. Leg-spinner Ryan Burl (5-10) played a key part in the hosts` dismissal for a dismal 141.
Zimbabwe bowled out the Aussies for the first time in ODIs, and thus it spearheaded Zimbabwe`s rise in the ODI Super League, which counts toward qualifying for next year`s 50-over World Cup in India.
