Popular Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut was set to star in Indira Gandhi biopic titled ‘Emergency.’ The actor recently announced on her personal blog that she will also direct the film. This will be her second directorial venture after ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.’
The actor wrote in her blog: “Pleased to wear director’s hat again, after working on ‘Emergency’ for more than a year I finally figured no one can direct it better than me. Collaborating with fabulous writer Ritesh Shah, even if it means sacrificing on various acting assignments I am determined to do it, my excitement is high.”
“This is going to be a tremendous journey, my leap to another league,” she added.
The actress also said that the film will showcase various unknown facts about the leader.
The film was about to be directed by Sai Kabir. But he is currently busy directing a web film titled, ‘Tiku Weds Sheru.’
Ranaut was last seen in the 2020 film ‘Panga.’
