Woman, son murdered in Narayanganj

The bodies of a mother and her son have been recovered from their home in Araihazar upazila in Narayanganj, police said on Sunday.

The deceased are Razia Sultana Kakoli (42), wife of deceased Awal Nabi, and their son Talha (8).

Azizul Haque Hawlader, officer-in-charge (OC) of Araihazar Police Station, said, "Locals informed police that they spotted two bodies in a house at Ujan Gobindpur area of the upazila. Police arrived and noticed the house's door was open.

"Bodies of the mother and son were recovered. Their throats were slit with sharp weapon," he added

Law enforcers began investigation into the incident, the OC concluded.
