A man was arrested from Israel Airport as he was trying to smuggle snakes and lizards.
The twenty-year-old passenger attempted to bring three lizards and two snakes into Israel but was held at Ben Gurion Airport.
The Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry released photographs and videos of the incident.
He was arrested while he was returning from Hungry. A viral video showed that a custom inspector at Israel airport searching the man’s packages and he found snakes and lizards hidden inside a lunchbox and a pair of socks.
He was on a return flight to Israel from Hungary and faces up to two years in prison.
