Paytm is no more the BCCI title sponsor this season

Mastercard, an American multinational financial services corporation, has proclaimed its affiliation with the BCCI as the title sponsor for all international matches (men and women) played on home soil, domestic cricket matches organised by the BCCI, and all junior cricket (Under 19 and Under 23) matches played in India.

Mastercard is expected to replace Paytm, an Indian Fintech business, whose agreement got extended in August 2019 for up to March 2023 with a winning offer of INR 3.80 Cr per match, a 58% increase from the previous agreement, reports cricbuzz.

Mastercard has been heavily engaged in global sponsorships for many athletic and lifestyle-related events, including the UEFA Champions League, the Grammy Awards, the Cannes Film Festival, and the Australian and French Open Tennis Tournaments.
