Security has been beefed up in and around the court ahead of the appearance of actor Porimoni before it.
The safety measures were heightened since 9:30am on Sunday (October 10) around Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court.
Apart from deploying additional police personnel, members of various law enforcing agencies are on the field in plain clothes.
Shamsunnahar Smrity, screen name Porimoni, is likely to appear before the court today seeking bail in a narcotics case filed with Banani police station. As the police press the charge sheet the bail term will come to an end.
Porimoni is supposed to appear before the court to extend her ongoing bail.
