On November 19 2020, Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested a man in Khulna for reportedly sending obscene text messages to Kolkata's popular actress Srabanti Chatterjee.
The case was filed by SI MD Khalid Uddin of the Sonadnaga police station of KMP on November 16 after the actress filed a complaint through the Indian High Commission in Bangladesh.
But almost three months have passed since the case was filed but no charge sheet has been made yet.
Confirming the matter to The Report, officer in charge of Sonadanga Model police station, Md Momtajul Haque said, “We are waiting for the mobile forensic report to make further proceedings. Right now, the accused is under judicial custody.”
The report will be provided by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police.
But when the report will arrive is uncertain, the officer said.
Earlier, the court approved a one-day remand.
