Tollywood actress Srabanti Chatterjee joined with the rulling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of India on Monday afternoon, with the commitment to make West Bengal 'Golden Bengal'.
BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya, and state president Dilip Ghosh handed over the party flag to her and welcomed her to the party.
After joining Chatterjee said she would like to work for the development of Bengal.

"We welcome Shrabonti to our party. People from all walks of life joined the BJP today", said Dilip Ghosh.
Adressing the programme, Shrabonti said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech has inspired me and that's why I made this decision. This is my new way to start."
Asked if she has a chance to run in India's upcoming assembly elections, the actress said, "I just joined. I didn't think anything about it. But I will stand from wherever my party wishes."
Earlier, Yash Dasgupta, Papiya Adhikari had joined the party. BJP sources said she is likely to be present on the dais at the Brigade parade ground rally on March 7 where Narendra Modi is likely to address the gathering
