Sri Lanka cricket team arrive in Dhaka

Sri Lankan national cricket team has arrived in Dhaka on Sunday morning to play three one-day international (ODI) matches. 

The three-match series which is a part of the ODI Super League will be played on May 23, 25, and 28, within a bio-bubble at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium at Mirpur. All matches will be day-night affair. 

The visitors will undergo a mandatory quarantine before they will be allowed to practice from Wednesday.  

Kusal Perera will lead the side against hosts Bangladesh. Kusal, who has played 101 ODIs so far, will take the charge from Dimuth Karunaratne and Kusal Mendis will be acting as his deputy. 

Former Sri Lanka skipper Angelo Mathews was dropped along with Karunaratne, Lahiru Thirimanne and wicket-keeper Dinesh Chandimal.

Bangladesh lost the recent away two-match Test series against the Island nation. 

Sri Lanka squad: Kusal Perera (C), Kusal Mendis (VC), Danushka Gunathilaka, Dhananjaya De Silva, Pathum Nissanka, Dasun Shanaka, Ashen Bandara, Wanindu Hasaranga, Isuru Udana, Akila Dananjaya, Niroshan Dickwella, Dushmantha Chameera, Ramesh Mendis, Asitha Fernando, Lakshan Sandakan, Chamika Karunaratne, Binura Fernando, Shiran Fernando.
