Students of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) began a hunger strike this afternoon demanding the resignation of their Vice-Chancellor (VC).
Twenty-four students of the university are taking part in the hunger strike demonstrations, and they have stated they will fast till death unless the VC resigns.
The fasting students have camped in front of the VC's residence in the campus premises.
Since the VC did not resign by noon today, even after the students' ultimatum, they began the hunger strike at 3:00 pm, reports our Sylhet correspondent.
