Zayed Khan to play role as Tikka Khan

Actor Zayed Khan has been cast in the Bangladesh-India joint project "Bangabandhu". The actor will play the role of Tikka Khan in the film.

Zayed Khan has signed in the contract at BFDC Tuesday.

"I visited Mumbai a few days ago to audition for this film,' shares Zayed Khan, 'The measurements for my costume were taken during that time. This film is a dream project and I feel privileged that I get to be a part of this legendary production."

"I was not sure that I was going to be cast for this role and thus had not disclosed this news earlier," adds Zayed Khan who is just charging BDT 1 for this film.

"Bangabandhu" is directed by acclaimed Indian director Shyam Benegal. The biopic of the Father of the Nation also casts Arifin Shuvoo as Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Nusraat Faria as Sheikh Hasina, Riaz as Tajuddin Ahmad, Nusrat Imrose Tisha as Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, and Elina Shammi as Khaleda Zia, among others.
