The historic iftar market in the capital's Chawkbazar will not entertain customers with its palatable food items this year during the month of Ramadan. Officer in Charge of Chawkbazar police station Moudut Howlader has confirmed this matter to The Report.
This administration has taken this decision in continuation to last year due to the country facing a hard time while combating the Covid-19 situation. Every year people throng to the centurial market every Ramadan to buy various iftar items that are unique in taste and shape.
Around 1,000 makeshift stalls are usually set up to sell iftar items prepared from meat, vegetable, sweet, milk and other ingredients in the market.
