Internationally acclaimed Indian director Anurag Kashyap is set to direct the remake of Quentin Tarantino’s historical action film ‘Kill Bill.’ Several major Indian media outlets have confirmed the news that the project has been greenlit.
Popular Bollywood actor Kriti Sanon will be playing the role of The Bride which was played by Uma Thurman.
Kashyap recently underwent major heart surgery and returned home when this story broke the internet.
Mumbai Mirror posted a story that the rights for this cult classic was acquired by Indian producer Nikhil Dwivedi (producer of ‘Hate Story’ and ‘Dabangg 3’). Dwivedi and Kashyap are developing the screenplay at the moment.
Netizens on social media platforms are having a heated debate if remaking such a brilliant action flick in Bollywood is a good decision or not. Some die-hard Tarantino fans are claiming this will be a bad decision while Kashyap fans are delighted to hear the news.
Dwivedi’s production company disclosed that the project is still in its infancy and future updates of the project will be released soon.
