A Dhaka court has issued a travel ban on Munni Saha, her husband Md. Kabir Hossain Taposh, her mother Apel Rani Saha, and her brothers Tapon Kumar Saha and Pronob Kumar Saha Opu.
The order was passed by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md. Zakir Hossain Galib following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
According to the petition, there are allegations that the individuals in question—along with the proprietor of M.S. Promotions—have accumulated wealth beyond their known sources of income and acquired illicit funds in their bank accounts. The ACC is currently conducting an inquiry into the matter.
The petition further stated that there is credible information suggesting the accused may attempt to flee the country to evade the investigation. To ensure the integrity of the ongoing inquiry, the court granted the travel ban.
