The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) will feature five teams in its upcoming edition, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced after a meeting of the BPL Governing Council.
Toggi Sports (Bashundhara Group) retained Rangpur Riders, while Triangular Services took the Chattogram franchise. Nabil Group will represent Rajshahi, Cricket With Sami got Sylhet, and Champion Sports (Remark-Harllan) acquired Dhaka.
BCB official Ifthekar Rahman said franchises were chosen for financial transparency and long-term stability. Each team must submit a Tk 10 crore bank guarantee within five working days. The players’ draft is set for November 17, and the new season is expected to begin in mid-December.
