The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast generally dry weather with partly cloudy skies across most parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9:00am today.
According to the latest bulletin, moderate to dense fog is expected to form from midnight through the morning in many regions and may persist until noon in some areas. The dense fog could temporarily disrupt air navigation, inland river transportation and road communication.
A mild cold wave is currently sweeping over the districts of Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Panchagarh, Jashore, Chuadanga and Kushtia, which may ease in certain areas, the bulletin said.
The department also predicted that night temperatures may rise slightly, while day temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country.
On Thursday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 26.5 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, while the lowest temperature of 8.0 degrees Celsius was registered in Jashore today.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:23 pm today and rise at 6:42 am tomorrow.
