Dry weather likely across Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast dry weather with a partly cloudy sky across the country for the next 24 hours, beginning at 9:00 am today.
According to a Met Office bulletin, moderate to thick fog may form in different parts of the country from midnight to morning and may persist until noon in some areas. As a result, air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication could be temporarily disrupted due to dense fog.
A mild cold wave is currently sweeping over the districts of Jashore, Chuadanga, Gopalganj, Rajshahi, Pabna, Sirajganj, and Nilphamari, and it may continue in some places. Night and day temperatures are expected to rise slightly across the country. However, cold conditions may persist in many areas due to the foggy weather, the bulletin added.
On Thursday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded at 29 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, while today’s lowest temperature was 9 degrees Celsius in Jashore.
In Dhaka, the sun will set at 5:19 pm today and rise at 6:39 am tomorrow.
