At least 20 people killed and another 60 injured in a crash between an armoured truck and a bus in South Africa`s northern province of Limpopo on Tuesday.
"Twenty people were tragically killed in an accident, where a cash-in-transit truck lost control and collided head-on with an oncoming bus" on a highway on Monday, the department said in a statement.
Ten injured were in serious condition and have been taken to the hospital.
Police divers are currently searching a river below the road for "people who have been swept away" by the waters.
South Africa has been hit by rain that have caused flooding in several provinces. According to the national weather forecasting institute, the weather will be like this for several more days which warns of new flooding risks.
