Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has sent a bouquet of flowers to Khaleda Zia on her birthday.
AZM Zahid Hossain, a BNP National Standing Committee member and personal physician to Khaleda, informed the media of the gift on Friday afternoon.
He said, "As you know, today is the birthday of the mother of democracy, three-time prime minister and leader Begum Khaleda Zia. She does not celebrate any events. However, the party is holding Milad and prayer gatherings across the country," reports bdnews24.com.
"This afternoon, the chief advisor to the interim government sent a bouquet of flowers for madam. His officials brought it to her Gulshan residence."
The chief advisor`s Private Secretary Shazeeb M Khairul Islam and Chief Advisor`s Office Director Mohammad Nazmul Islam handed over the bouquet of flowers to the BNP chairperson`s Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar at Khaleda’s residence “Feroza” at 4pm on Friday.
The Chinese Embassy had sent the BNP chief a bouquet of flowers on Thursday night on behalf of the Chinese ambassador to mark her birthday.
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia was born on Aug 15, 1945 in Dinajpur, according to the BNP website. She is turning 81 this year.
