The government has raised the petroleum prices, which came into effect from the wee hours of Saturday, reports UNB.
As per the announcement of the Energy Division, the retail prices of diesel and kerosene at the consumer level within 40km of the fuel depot will Tk114 per litre, octane Tk135 per litre, and petrol Tk130 per litre.
Long queues of vehicles was seen waiting for their turn infront of refuelling stations since the news broke late on Friday.
