The businessmen affected by the fire in Bangabazar, Gulistan in the capital started trading in the same place setting up a 17 and a half square feet boundary from Wednesday (April 12). Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor, Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Tapas will inaugurate this momentayr market.
The investigation report of Dhaka South City Corporation has informed that there has been a total loss of Tk 303 crore due to the fire in Bangabazar of Gulistan in the capital.
It has been seen on the ground on Sunday that the concerned authorities have taken this initiative so that the traders can recover some of their losses before Eid in Bangabazar. Bricks are being laid all over the field. Sand is placed on top. The surrounding debris is being cleared.

According to the investigation report, the total loss of Tk 303 crore was caused by the fire in Bangabazar of Gulistan in the capital. Out of this, damage of goods is Tk 288 crore and 35 lakh and infrastructure damage of five markets is of Tk 14 crore and 70 lakh.
