Four members of a family have been killed after their car was crushed by a cement-laden lorry on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Cumilla.
The accident happened around 12:30pm on Friday near Paduar Bazar in Cumilla Sadar South Upazila. Police said the car was travelling on the Dhaka-bound lane when the lorry overturned while trying to avoid a collision with a passenger bus going the wrong way.
The lorry also struck a CNG-run autorickshaw, leaving at least two of its passengers injured.
