277 officials promoted to deputy secretary

The government has promoted 277 officials from senior assistant secretary to deputy secretary in the administration.

The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notification regarding the promotions on Monday.

The notification was signed by Mohammad Nur-Alam, deputy secretary at the Ministry of Public Administration, by order of the president.

It said the officials listed in the notification had been promoted to the post of deputy secretary and appointed as officer on special duty (deputy secretary) at the Ministry of Public Administration.

Among those promoted are 15 senior assistant secretary-level officials currently serving at various Bangladesh embassies and missions abroad.
