The Bangladesh Army has dismissed as false and misleading a report published by the Indian news outlet Anandabazar Patrika on December 27, 2024.

The article, titled "In the uniform, the bloodstains of Bengali genocide! After 53 years, the defeated Pakistani army is returning to Bangladesh," claimed that the Pakistani army would return to Bangladesh, which the Bangladesh Army has firmly denied.

In a statement, the Bangladesh Army reassured the public that it is committed to professionalism, neutrality, and international cooperation.

The Army clarified that it regularly maintains positive relations with other countries‍‍` armed forces through exchanges and joint training programs to improve skills and understanding.

The Army also clarified that there are no plans for any Pakistani military delegation or training team to come to Bangladesh.

They called the claims in the report "baseless" and far from the truth.

On defense matters, the Bangladesh Army explained that it procures necessary ammunition from various countries according to its needs.

It emphasized that such sensitive issues should be addressed with accurate information and warned against making unverified and unnecessary comments.

The Bangladesh Army also pointed out that the media outlet did not reach out to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) for any comment before publishing the report.

The Army stressed that this lack of consultation raised serious doubts about the fairness and credibility of the article.

In conclusion, the Bangladesh Army reiterated its commitment to transparency and called on the media to verify information from trusted sources before publishing.
