The government has expressed gratitude to India for honouring the father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman posthumously with the Gandhi Peace Prize 2020.
The honour brings significance to the 50th birth anniversary of the country while it’s going under tremendous development, said a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the press release, the award will deepen the relationship between India and Bangladesh marking 50 years of glorious friendship.
The government also paid homage to the two great leaders Mahatma Gandhi and Bangabandhu on this joyous occasion.
