An expatriate Bangladeshi has died as he fell from an under-construction multi-storey building in the Maldives.
The deceased is Md Sharif Uddin, 26, son of Ramiz Uddin of Madhyam Patdha village under Sadar upazila in Kishoreganj.
Sharif fell from the fifth floor of the under-construction building after a false ceiling collapsed, while he was working there around 4:00 pm (local time) on Thursday in the capital Male.
He was rushed to a hospital and died there on Friday morning.
Sharif's body has been kept in the morgue of the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Male. The process of sending the body to Bangladesh is underway.
