Amit Habib, the editor of Bangla daily Desh Rupantor, has passed away in a Dhaka hospital.
According to media reports and his colleagues, the renowned journalist breathed his last around 11pm on Thursday.
He was being treated at hospital after suffering a major stroke on July 21.
Before joining Desh Rupantor, Amit Habib worked with the country's different dailies, including Kaler Kantha, Samakal, Jai Jai Din, and Bhorer Kagoj, in different positions.
