Fire breaks out at a Chattogram textile recycling warehouse; no casualties

A massive fire broke out at a textile recycling warehouse in the Atura Depot area of Chattogram city early on Thursday (December 9), officials said.

However, no casualties were reported.

The blaze started around 8:00 am in the warehouse and soon spread to four other nearby storage facilities , reported UNB citing Kapil Uddin of Agrabad Fire Service.

Upon receiving, six firefighting units rushed to the spot and are trying to douse the fire.

A probe will ascertain the exact cause of the fire and the extent of damage, the official said.
