Lieutenant General (retd) Mohammad Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the Home Affairs Adviser, recently shared positive news regarding the law and order situation in the country.
Speaking at a District Commissioners` Conference in the capital today, he confirmed that the situation is "generally stable" and that things are improving overall.
While speaking to the attendees, the Home Affairs Adviser also stressed the importance of completely eradicating corruption from the country.
He warned that the nation`s progress would be halted if corruption continues to persist.
To help tackle this issue, instructions have been given to district commissioners to take decisive actions to prevent corruption within their areas.
On a different note, he mentioned that the district commissioners had suggested increasing the number of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel in border areas, a proposal that he acknowledged during the conference.
“The law and order situation is fairly good right now. The situation is getting better overall. But as long as there is evil, operations will continue,” the Home Affairs Adviser concluded.
