The key demand should be the ouster of government, said BNP standing committee member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy.
He said, “The people will bring us power. We believe, Khaleda Zia will live for the people. So, instead of the demand of Khaleda Zia’s treatment, the key demand should be the ouster of the government.”
The BNP leader was speaking to a programme held at Nasrul Hamid auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity in the capital on Friday (November 26).
He said, “Awami League leaders said, if Khaleda Zia seeks presidential clemency she is likely to get permission to go abroad. It’s not certain whether or not the president will show any mercy. Or maybe he will. The government will have no matter of humanity to the government. How can we expect humane behavior from this fascist government?”
“Even a commoner has the right to get medical facilities. The fundamental rights acknowledge this,” he said.
