There is no justification for fresh sanctions and that it will be very terrible if they are implemented, said Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen on Monday.
He claimed that since it depends on different nations, he has no knowledge about additional sanctions.
Momen told reporters at a media briefing at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "We hope good sense will prevail."
The media briefing was organized to provide information about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina`s upcoming visit to Qatar, which starts on Monday afternoon.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs vehemently objected to and denounced a portion of a media story last night, calling it "false, baseless," and having been produced with a "ulterior motive."
