In a major security operation across the country, a total of 1,775 people were arrested in the last 24 hours under the ongoing "Operation Devil Hunt."
Out of these, 607 individuals were detained specifically as part of the operation.
The rest, 1,168, were arrested in connection with other cases or warrants.
The police have revealed that the operation led to the recovery of a number of dangerous weapons.
Authorities seized two foreign pistols, one shotgun, one one-shot gun, and a pipe gun.
They also found two rounds of ammunition, five cartridges, and several sharp weapons, including machetes, axes, knives, and even a saw.
Other items recovered included hammers, pliers, batons, and sticks.
The police are continuing their efforts to maintain law and order as the crackdown intensifies.
