Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also said, "The law and order of the entire country cannot be said to be very good but it is satisfactory." We will try to do better. The situation in Chittagong Hill Tracts is also improving. There are conflicts with other parties including UPDF. They are also getting arms and ammunition from other places.”

Stating that the upcoming Durga Puja will be smoother than any time in the past, he added, “All necessary measures will be taken for this. However, there is no discussion yet on extending the Puja holidays.”

The home adviser said, “The government will be stricter to prevent drug abuse and drug smuggling. The godfathers of drugs must be caught, otherwise drugs will not be eradicated.”
