A nine-member delegation, led by Mahin Sarker, former coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, has reached the residence of Bangladesh‍‍`s Chief Advisor Dr. Mohammad Yunus, situated by the Jamuna River.

The group arrived to present seven key demands, including a fresh investigation into the 2009 BDR massacre, the reinstatement of those dismissed from service, and the release of prisoners currently in custody.

The group, which consists of six former Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) members and three student representatives, made their way to Yunus‍‍` residence on Wednesday afternoon.

They were escorted by police in an official vehicle and arrived at their destination around 1:30 PM.

Earlier in the day, the protesters gathered at the Central Shaheed Minar around 10 AM before marching towards Yunus‍‍` home.

However, when they reached the Shahbagh Police Station, the march was stopped by law enforcement.

After discussions, a smaller group from the delegation was permitted to carry the petition to Yunus’ residence.

The rest of the protesters remained at Shahbagh.

The protest caused a temporary halt to traffic between Shahbagh and TSC, affecting commuters in the area.

This protest is part of an ongoing movement by Mahin Sarker and the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, who have been campaigning for justice over the BDR killings.

The group has previously announced similar programs to push for these important demands.
