A 72-hour of ceasefire between the army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) has come into effect. This 72-hour of cease-fire has started since midnight on Monday, according to the report of BBC.
According to the report, after the start of the conflict on April 15, the two conflicting groups agreed to a ceasefire for the third time. Attacks, explosions and shootings were reported during the previous two ceasefires, but analysts believe that this ceasefire has actually been implemented.

Residents of the capital, Khartoum, have been told to stay indoors since the outbreak of war. People`s food and water supplies have decreased. As a result, the people there have fallen into a massive humanitarian disaster. If the conflict drags on for longer, the situation is feared to spiral out of control.
The ceasefire was implemented mainly to allow civilians and foreigners trapped in the capital Khartoum to leave the fighting. Saudi Arabia has already brought its citizens out of Sudan as well as some people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh. Germany, US, UK have evacuated their diplomats.
France, Italy, Spain also began evacuating their embassy staff from Sunday. US officials said they brought about 100 people from Sudan. The US Embassy in Khartoum has been closed.
