Flight operations at Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot airports have been temporarily suspended, according to a statement by the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA).
Karachi, Lahore and Sialkot airports will not be available till 12pm on Thursday, PAA added.
The statement, issued by PAA spokesperson Saifullah Khan, requested passengers to remain in contact with the relevant airlines to remain updated with the latest information.
The PAA also issued a Notam for the decision.
The temporary closure of airspace at these major airports follows heightened tensions in the region due to recent military strikes between India and Pakistan.
Flight disruptions have already been reported across South Asia, with several international airlines rerouting or delaying services.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether the suspension is linked directly to security concerns amid the ongoing conflict.
Travelers are advised to check with their airlines before heading to the airport, as schedules may change without prior notice depending on the evolving situation.
