AK Ratul, vocalist, bassist, and sound engineer of the band `Owned,` has passed away. The news was confirmed to Prothom Alo by the band’s lyricist, Siam Ibn Alam.
According to Siam, Ratul suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at a gym in Uttara.
He was first taken to Uttara Crescent Hospital and later transferred to Lubana Hospital. Despite medical efforts, doctors pronounced him dead about an hour later.
Ratul was the son of renowned late film actor Jashim. He had been an active member of the music scene through his involvement with the band `Owned.`
