After months of speculation, popular small-screen actress Tanjin Tisha was finally set to make her big-screen debut — not in Dhaka, but in Tollywood, opposite Bollywood actor Sharman Joshi, famed for his role in 3 Idiots.
The film, titled Bhalobashar Morshum (Season of Love), was being directed by Kolkata filmmaker M. N. Raj, who earlier directed Jeet-starrer Ravan.
The film’s official announcement was made in Kolkata at a grand muhurat ceremony attended by Sharman Joshi and co-star Sushmita, though Tisha herself was notably absent. Shooting began soon after, but Tisha never joined the production, sparking curiosity among fans and the media.
When asked about her involvement, Tisha remained reserved, saying, “I’ve seen many reports about me. Not everything is true or false — audiences can judge that better. I don’t want to say anything right now. Maybe I’ll come back with a surprise.”
And the surprise has finally come — Tanjin Tisha is all set to make her film debut in Dhallywood, not Tollywood. She will star opposite Shakib Khan in the upcoming film Soldier, directed by Sakib Fahad.
Sources reveal that visa complications prevented Tisha from continuing with the Kolkata project, ultimately leading her to step away. However, many critics believe this “setback” turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as Soldier offers a more fitting and timely debut opportunity for the actress in the Bangladeshi film industry.
Filming preparations for Soldier are in full swing, and Tisha is expected to join the set next week — marking a new chapter in her career on the silver screen.
