The SSC and equivalent examinations 2027 will start on March 14, nearly two months later than the date previously planned by the Ministry of Education.
The ministry approved the new examination schedule on Monday, scrapping its earlier plan to begin the exams on January 7.
Education officials had been considering a March start after taking into account the timing of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr and feedback from parents.
Officials had earlier said the examinations could be held from mid-March. The latest decision has now formally confirmed March 14 as the starting date for the SSC and equivalent exams.
