A 26-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving ambulance after fainting during a Home Guard recruitment drive in Bihar’s Gaya district.

The incident occurred on July 24 during a physical endurance test held at BMP Bodh Gaya as part of the recruitment process.

According to police sources, the woman lost consciousness during the test and was being transported to a hospital when the assault reportedly took place.

She later told police that she was raped by multiple individuals in the ambulance while she was unconscious.

Based on her statement, a case was filed at the Bodh Gaya police station.

City Superintendent of Police Ramanand Kumar Kaushal confirmed the details, stating, “On July 24, a female candidate fainted during the Home Guard recruitment drive at BMP Bodh Gaya and was being taken to the hospital in an ambulance.”

“Later, she alleged that she was raped by the ambulance driver and a technician. We conducted her medical examination, arrested both accused, and began questioning them,” he added.

Kaushal further said the suspects’ responses were unsatisfactory, and doctors have confirmed rape. Further legal action is being taken against the two accused.
