Fire gutted valuables of a cotton factory at Basantapur in Panchdona upazila of Narsingdi district early today.
The fire originated from an electric short circuit at the factory around 4 am and soon engulfed it.
On information, two firefighting units from Narsingdi rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze at 5:12 am.
The owner claimed that the estimated loss caused by the fire could be Tk 3 lakh.
